1st Place & Global Nominee – 2025 NASA Space Apps Challenge

Project Requirements

During the 2025 NASA Space Apps Challenge, we secured 1st Place and a Global Nomination for creating Raptor RAG. The platform addresses critical data navigation challenges within space biology, offering high precision, context-aware information retrieval.

The Challenge

NASA's space biology data is vast, complex, and spread across numerous formats. The central challenge was creating a reliable engine capable of accurately grounding responses in specific scientific literature without hallucinating.

The Approach & Solution

We engineered Raptor RAG, utilizing advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques to comprehensively parse, ingest, index, and semantically search NASA's structured and unstructured space biology documents.
